FIXED PRICE DIVORCE PACKAGE – JUST £425* (in England and Wales)
The package covers the whole process from initial appointment to obtaining Decree Absolute.
Our Family department is staffed by fully-qualified and experienced Solicitors so you have the reassurance of knowing how much the divorce proceedings will cost and that your matter is being handled in a professional manner but at minimum cost to you!
Our fee is £425 *plus VAT and Court fees. The court fees for divorce proceedings are currently £385. You may be eligible for a reduction of all or part of the court fee depending upon your financial circumstances at the time of applying to the Court.
- Our Fixed price divorce package INCLUDES the following:
- An appointment with and handling of your case by a specialist Family Law Solicitor
- Preparation and filing of all documents (exclusions apply – see 3 below)
- Corresponding with the court, advising and updating you throughout the process
- Preliminary advice about financial and children issues arising from divorce.
Our Fixed price divorce package does NOT include the following:
- Obtaining a certified copy of your Marriage Certificate. You will need to supply us with your Marriage Certificate or we can obtain one for you at a cost of £9.50.
- Applying for an exemption or reduction of court fees on your behalf (if you qualify). We will make this simpler for you by giving you the relevant form and guidance for this.
- The cost of:-
- serving your spouse if they do not co-operate with the proceedings
- Tracing your spouse if you do not know where they live or cannot provide an address for the court to send documents to them.
- any alterations to the divorce paperwork once it has been filed at the court
- any work carried out if anything in the divorce becomes contested.
- We will discuss fully the cost of this with you if these situations arise.
At the initial appointment your Solicitor will give you an estimate of the likely additional cost if there are children or financial issues to be dealt with. You will have the option of paying our fee in full at the initial appointment or through our payment plan option of £210 paid at initial interview with the balance paid by standing order in three equal monthly instalments. All court fees have to be paid in advance.
